The Christmas Meadows Area is made up of multiple summer home communities near the Christmas Meadows Summer Home Area and campground.

As these communities grew and more full-timers began living in the beautiful Uinta Mountains it became necessary to have a name that encompassed all of the Summit County communities along highway 150 (The Mirror Lake Highway) between the Utah/Wyoming border on the north (A. on the map below) and Kamas, Utah on the south (C. on the map below).  Summit County began referring to these communities as Christmas Meadows.

Emergency services, mail delivery, etc are received from Evanston, Wyoming due to winter road closures and proximity to the nearest Utah town.
